In 1966, Hertz offered 1001 proper Shelby Mustang GT350-H rentals for those above the age of 25 with enough dollars in their pockets.
Of those thousand cars, only 85 had four-speed manuals. Hertz repeated the trick in 2006 for the 40th anniversary, and now again for the 50th with the 2016 GT-H. The new one isn’t exactly a Shelby GT350, but it does come with a vented hood, a carbon fiber front splitter, a rear spoiler and tons of GT-H badges. More importantly, the GT-Hs also have cat-back exhausts from Ford Performance and the Ford Racing Handling Pack with lower springs, retuned dampers, and new sway bars.
