Local News Station Cuts Away From Deadly End To Police Pursuit
Phoenix, Arizona area police in unmarked vehicles were in hot pursuit of a suspected bank robber yesterday when local news channel Fox 10 picked up the live helicopter feed. They kept the cameras rolling as police followed the suspect’s SUV through congested downtown traffic, lagging behind so as not to cause any serious damage in populated areas. Once the suspect rounded a intersection on the 10 highway in Tempe, the police successfully executed the P.I.T. maneuver on the suspect, and wrecked his car into a tree on the sidewalk. Fox 10 quickly cut away, however, as the harrowing chase turned deadly when police opened fire on the driver’s side of the vehicle from multiple angles. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
